St Martins Library access from home
Assess It - from the Library
This week we have been showing our Year 3 students (with some Year 4’s) how to use Access-it, our Library catalogue. Once they start to use it they can access many resources remotely and also manage their reservations, renewals and see which books they have on loan. There are links from Access-it to encyclopaedias, inquiry websites, news items etc and via the Library website link they can find lots of author websites which might fill a rain-filled afternoon this holiday period!!
When they want to look up their own borrowing records, reserve or renew they will need their log on details and this is where they might need a prompt from yourselves! For a majority of the students this will be first 3 letters of their surname followed by the first 3 of their given name e.g. haybri for me. Occasionally this format has been changed when generating the log on as those specific 6 letters have been allocated to another student - if this is the case for your child we will have to look up their log on details, they simply need to let us know.
Access-it is linked from the Library page of the School website and class blogs, alternatively we’d ask that you open this link and bookmark the page for future use.
If we can clarify anything about Access-it or the Library please don’t hesitate to contact me
Kind regards,
Bridget Hayes
